Appreciate your child

As the adage goes- “The great man is he who does not lose his child's-heart.” You are blessed to have a child, then why not be grateful to him for even all the small good things he does?

If you have a new born baby then make sure you buy all the essential items for feeding, travelling, clothing, safety and healthcare. From cots, to prams and bikes, there are a number of specialist retailers for parenting products.

Reward your child for the good. Reward does not always necessarily mean monetary, but praise-worthy talk with a big smile can do miracles in boosting your child’s self-esteem. Tell your child very often that how much you love him and make him realize that you are always there for him. Try to recollect your childhood pleasure, while your parents have appreciated you. You need to give them encouragement in every activity they do as your support can make them highly successful. Your child can win all the stumbling blocks of life, just by your support and love. Do punish him for his mistakes but never harm his self-respect. Make him understand with love instead of anger as love and affection works more than anger.

Love every small things of your child: Jam encrusted fingerprints, barbeque sauce stains on a shirt, wet shoddy kisses, etc. Compliment your child when he does something good at home, school or anywhere. When you visit grocery, try to bring a chocolate he loves and surprise him with it. Your child will remember it even after he grows up.

You can give lots of praise to your child by loads of kisses and tight hugs. Keep your child’s motivation high by just saying him few words of appreciation.
