Teach your child to spend wisely

High income in families has changed the spending habits of children. Children’s minds can be molded in the way you want when they are young. If they are accustomed to lavish lifestyles right from childhood they tend to turn out as big time spend thrifts.

This becomes a big problem when the family in later stages goes through financial crisis the child is not able to cope up with the expenditure cuttings.

It is never too early to teach your kids how to manage their money. Many parents have found out that allowing the child to help in buying grocery form the store gives him the freedom to check and compare prices and also helps him in analyzing and differentiating products at a young age. It is also good to give them a budget before the go to the market so that they can save on their buying.

It is good to discuss about paychecks and payments like loan repayments and other bills. Also your salary, how you disintegrate it for your child’s expenses, how the various bills are looked after and how you save for future. It is the knowledge of how the house runs is what gives them the real reason to save.

But there one important point parents should understand, that all the time whining about expenses and money matters get the children to get irritated and they won’t just contribute in any of your troubles. Instead there can be days where you can let your child spend some money jus as he likes to do it. This makes the child happy and won’t complain about you being stingy.

Many youngsters want to follow the trends their friends follow. Always refusing many only crete differences in ideas and tiffs. Once in while fulfill their wishes but make them know that it is not possible to get what they want.
